- ➤ Culver’s will host its 11th annual Scoops of Thanks Day fundraiser on May 1 to support local farmers by donating 100% of proceeds from a $1 frozen custard scoop to FFA chapters — the event will also feature a one-day-only flavor, How Now Brown Cow, with special ingredients that add a twist. This Thank You Farmers Project has donated over $6.5 million to agricultural education since 2013. WTWO
- ➤ The Salvation Army of Vigo County honored Bob Baesler, owner of Baesler’s Market, for raising more than $200,000 through Red Kettles placed outside his stores during the holiday season. - ➤ Vigo County homeowners saw property assessments increase by up to 40% compared to last year, raising concerns about higher tax bills—Assessor Kevin Gardner said the hikes came from updated cost tables that reflect rising construction costs.
