- ➤ The playgrounds at Collett Park and Spencer Park will be closed starting Monday (Feb. 10) for new equipment installation, with updates expected by summer if weather permits. Tribune-Star
- ➤ The local Boys & Girls Club has revamped the west wing of the former Meadows Elementary School, a building that closed in 2022, to create a modern space for community programs. The Learning Lab shares the facility with updated features such as a renovated cafeteria area. Tribune-Star

- ➤ At least 450 crows died in our city over the past few days, mainly downtown and in the Gilbert Park neighborhood, which prompted a DNR avian health specialist visit on Friday (Eli Fleace) who said the number may be an underestimate. Tribune-Star
