- ➤ Indiana economic development officials celebrated job data from Thursday showing 10,600 new jobs with an average hourly wage of $40.59 and unveiled regional strategic plans developed with McKinsey’s guidelines. Revised board policies and a new $5 million loan program (supporting improved oversight) aim to boost growth for Indiana companies. WTHI-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Indiana State University held its winter 2025 commencement at Hulman Center on Saturday (Dec. 13) with two ceremonies—one for graduate students and one for undergraduates—to honor the academic achievements of its Sycamore graduates. Tribune-Star
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita warned consumers that multiple dangerous products recalled in November are present in homes and popular as holiday gifts. Consumers should stop using these items immediately and follow the manufacturers’ recall instructions (for safety). WTHI-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Union Health confirmed its merger with the former Terre Haute Regional Hospital took effect on Saturday; wound care and labor and delivery services have been centralized at Union Hospital at 1606 N. Seventh St (services are no longer offered on South Seventh) (state health approved the merger). Tribune-Star
