EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A grant from the Vigo County Education Foundation has given students at Terre Haute South Vigo High School new EnChroma glasses to help colorblind students see colors on maps and charts. The school said the glasses can improve classroom projects. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Governor Braun said healthcare in Vigo County may improve from the ongoing merger between Union Health and Regional Hospital after last month's approval by the Indiana Department of Health. Negotiations on final merger terms continue as patients await changes. WTHI-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Indiana Conservation Officers advise residents to exercise caution on frozen lakes, ponds, and streams as they ice fish, skate, and snowmobile. They recommend testing ice thickness — at least 4 inches for fishing and 5 inches for snowmobiling — and using life jackets to reduce risk. WTHI-TV
