- ➤ Award-winning journalist and author Bob Cyphers will present his book 'Dead End: Inside the Hunt for the I-70 Serial Killer' at Marshall Public Library on December 4 at 6:30 p.m. — he will share new evidence and encourage tips for the cold case investigation — in a free event for adults. - ➤ The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra will perform its annual holiday concert on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. at Tilson Auditorium on Indiana State campus. The program will feature vocalist Justin John Moniz — a three-time winner of The American Prize — and guest conductor David Bowden. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Terre Haute native Harrison Whitaker entered his tenth 'Jeopardy!' appearance after winning nine straight shows and earning $268,600 — his streak shows his continued success on the syndicated quiz show. Tribune-Star

- ➤ The Vigo County Public Library will host blind adventurer Lonnie Bedwell — who will speak Dec. 3 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at 680 Poplar St. in Terre Haute. Tribune-Star
- ➤ On Monday, 1,300 sixth graders from Vigo County School Corp. and Clay Community Schools cheered at the women's basketball game between Indiana State University and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College at Hulman Center (Education Day event). Tribune-Star
- ➤ Indiana State University announced on Monday that the state's Commission for Higher Education approved a new bachelor's degree in sports communication— the program is a collaboration between the communication department in the College of Arts and Sciences and the sport management program in the College of Health and Human Sciences. - ➤ Indiana Learns offers eligible Hoosier families a grant of up to $1,000 for math and language arts tutoring to boost children's test scores; families may use the funds for in-person (online or hybrid) sessions. WTHI-TV
