  • Wabash Valley Goodwill released its 2024 Impact Report showing its work in community service, job training and growth in the Wabash Valley. The nonprofit earned a perfect score on a three-year accreditation survey—an achievement that marks its strong performance.  Tribune-Star
  • Manna From Seven secured funding from the Duke Energy Foundation, Bob Baesler, Harvest Bakery and public donations and plans to serve 600 families in Terre Haute a Thanksgiving dinner with hams, potatoes and stuffing—helping meet community needs amid rising food insecurity.  WTHI-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Zorah Shriners are preparing for their annual 'Feztival of Trees' holiday event in Terre Haute—featuring a one-dollar raffle to win a Christmas tree and gifts with free entry for kids and a two-dollar fee for adults. More than 100 Christmas trees will be on display while vendor shops open and children enjoy free cookie and ornament decorating.  WTHI-TV
  • Terre Haute native Harrison Whitaker secured his ninth 'Jeopardy!' win on Friday by putting his eight-game streak on the line against challengers—a beer specialist and a teacher—and his cumulative winnings reached $218,600.  Tribune-Star

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Vigo County Education Foundation held its annual Business and Bagels event at Woodrow Wilson Middle School this morning—announcing nearly $35,000 in grants to 16 schools for local projects. The foundation said the event occurs twice a year to update the community on how the grants impact school projects.  WTHI-TV
  • Deming Early Learning Center has launched the Little Spots of Emotions program funded by Vigo Ed Foundation grants—teaching kindergarten students how to manage feelings and understand emotions—boosting their early social skills.  Tribune-Star
