- ➤ Collection week for Operation Christmas Child is underway at several drop-off sites as Samaritan's Purse volunteers collect shoeboxes filled with school supplies, toys, and toiletries + these boxes will be sent overseas to help children in need. WTHI-TV
- ➤ The Terre Haute Tri Kappa House of the Christmas Mouse will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec 6 and Dec 7 at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School (Scout Troops will have a special hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Dec 6) (a sensory-friendly hour is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Dec 7). ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters are investigating a fire at Harrison Apartments that injured 2 people and left 22 residents displaced early Sunday morning in Terre Haute — many found temporary shelter with friends or in hotels while a few remain without housing. WTHI-TV
- ➤ Terre Haute South Vigo High School was evacuated Monday afternoon when a fog machine used by the theater department activated the alarm system—firefighters responded and cleared the area without injuries. Tribune-Star

- ➤ The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Parlor Doughnuts on Monday morning, marking the Evansville chain’s first location in Vigo County. The doughnut and coffee shop is in Towne South Plaza along U.S. Highway 41 South+next to Buffalo Wild Wings and serves layered doughnuts, breakfast treats and specialty coffee. WTHI-TV
