Catholic Charities Terre Haute invites families to sign up for its annual Christmas Store shopping season — a program that gives holiday gifts and everyday essentials to children and families across west-central Indiana.

Registration will be held Monday through Friday, Oct. 27-31 at the Christmas Store, 1440 Locust St.

Catholic Charities Terre Haute launched its annual coat drive on Oct.

13 and will accept new or gently used coats until Nov. 9—Courtesy Cleaners will wash each coat before distribution to families in need.

It is an exciting weekend for Terre Haute North and South Vigo high school marching bands—one of 32 groups selected from across Indiana—to compete today at the ISSMA Scholastic Class Finals.

Vigo County is exploring casino revenue from The Foundation to support a new high school project.

The Foundation generated $4.2 million in its first year and will work with the Vigo County School Corporation, county council, and community partners over the next 20 to 25 years — a plan that may change local education.
