- ➤ The Terre Haute City Council passed Mayor Brandon Sakbun’s 2026 budget during its Thursday evening meeting at City Hall and set the city’s operating budget at $129 million—an increase of 1.47% from 2025, even though the city will receive $1 million less from the state due to Senate Enrolled Act 1 and rising inflation.
