- ➤ A student pilot and flight instructor from Indiana State University safely landed a small single-engine airplane at Terre Haute Regional Airport after it lost its nose gear on Friday afternoon—using a textbook maneuver on the back tires. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Tom Kantner, 56, a Pennsylvania resident and director of insurance operations, enrolled at Indiana State University to use credit transfer and credit for prior learning to finish his bachelor's degree in 2 1/2 years—he will graduate next May. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Indiana Gov. Mike Braun warned Wednesday that teachers who post online celebrating political violence might face suspension or revocation of their licenses—free speech advocates said the warning could chill constitutional rights. Tribune-Star
