United Way of the Wabash Valley distributed $131,819 to 15 nonprofits on Wednesday to offer bridge funding for emergency needs amid reduced public support (Executive Director Dorothy Chambers said the funds are vital for local services).

Thrive West Central has announced the new GUIDE program to improve life for those with dementia and their caregivers in several west-central Indiana counties and two Illinois counties.
The Medicare-supported service is provided in partnership with Aging & In-Home Services and Indiana Area Agencies on Aging.
