A GoFundMe drive is underway for Brittany, a Terre Haute alum of South Vigo High School, and her 7-year-old son Finn, who were struck by lightning during a camping trip in remote Wisconsin near Lake Superior early last week.
They are receiving care in a Minnesota burn unit.
🏥 Health
Indiana hospitals no longer divert ambulances when emergency departments are crowded after signing an agreement with the Indiana Department of Health Monday.
The state is the third to end the practice.
Experts said Indiana was not at risk from wildfire smoke carried in from Ontario last month, though some residents experienced lingering health concerns.
Officials advised those sensitive to the haze to stay hydrated and remain in air-conditioned spaces.

Kelly Walker was named senior director of Sports Terre Haute by the THCVB, which launched a new sports division to boost Terre Haute & Vigo County's position as a competitive sports destination.
She will guide long-term strategies to grow the area’s sports tourism appeal.
