Today, as school resumes, the Postal Service warned parents, caregivers and school officials to keep children away from mailboxes and postal vehicles — the warning comes as more kids walk to school and face increased risks.

The agency said children should wait until mail is delivered before retrieving it from a mailbox.

On Monday, hundreds of union members and their families marched along Wabash Avenue from 11th Street to Fourth Street to celebrate the contributions of organized labor.

Police say a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday—at about 9:14 p.m. near the intersection of Wabash Avenue and 25th Street in Terre Haute.
