Tens of thousands will attend the Grissom Air & Space Expo at Grissom Air Reserve Base this weekend, and a flood warning for the Wabash River near Terre Haute remains in effect until late Wednesday night so drivers should use caution.
The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza returns to the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds this weekend after a break since 2019 + local police have begun preparing to manage the large crowds expected at the event.

The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra will launch its 2026-2027 Chamber Music Series on Oct.
18 with the Autumn Winds program (4 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods) to bring intimate music performances to local venues.
🎓 Education
Indiana State University reported on Wednesday that fall enrollment showed gains as 1,607 new freshmen arrived even as total numbers dipped; transfer + graduate enrollment each rose 13%.
