ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Authorities released the name of Tammy Samm (50) from Jasonville who died in a two-car crash in Sullivan County on Sunday morning.  Tribune-Star
  • Early Tuesday, the Terre Haute Fire Department was dispatched to a garage blaze at 1502 8th Ave at 12:20 a.m. where rapid arrival helped contain the fire that consumed the building plus one firefighter was injured and treated while two adults were displaced and are receiving help from the Red Cross.  WTHI-TV

CRIME NEWS

  • Rockville Police Department reported counterfeit $100 bills were circulated Tuesday—residents are urged to use tips from a social media post to spot fake bills.  Tribune-Star

  • The Swope Art Museum’s 81st Wabash Valley Exhibition has moved six blocks north to the Yang Family University Art Gallery at Indiana State University’s Landini Center — 300 N. Seventh St.— as the museum remains closed for renovations.  Tribune-Star

  • The Terre Haute Fire Department added a fourth ambulance to improve its response times to emergencies in the city — officials say the extra unit will ease strain on services.  WTHI-TV
