United Way of the Wabash Valley will host Power of the Purse (its signature luncheon supporting early childhood work) on Sept.
9 at Hulman Center at 11 a.m. Over 350 business and community leaders will attend to enjoy a live auction, raffle, and local food.

Last week the Vigo County Farm Bureau gave a $50,000 check to the Children’s Museum to aid fundraising for its $600,000 renovation of its farm exhibit, Homestead: Farming the Wabash Valley + the project celebrates our region’s agricultural heritage.

Indiana State University announced that its chief public relations officer, Steve Susens, will leave on Oct.
1 to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity in international development.
