- ➤ Sarah Scott Middle School is undergoing a leadership change after Monday's Vigo County School Board meeting as confirmed by Superintendent Chris Himsel. Mark Miller—who served as principal from 1999 to 2011—is now interim principal while the district looks for a long-term replacement. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Indiana is offering $508,559 in grants for community forestry projects in the state. Applications open September 15—Its deadline is October 23 and funding decisions will be announced by November 17. WTHI-TV
