Wabash Valley Community Foundation promoted Tess DeHart to program director and hired Lidia Yigezu as program associate.
DeHart (since 2022) helped manage grant and scholarship programs and led youth grant committees that support local initiatives.

Indiana State University Art and Design students present their work in the STARS Exhibition at Turman Gallery, 649 Chestnut Street today; the exhibit runs until Sept.
11 with gallery hours of 11 a.m. Monday-Friday + 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
The Indiana State University faculty exhibition is ongoing at the Yang Family University Art Gallery inside the Landini Center (300 N.
Seventh Street) and runs until Sept. 18. The gallery stays open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and until 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
🌲 Environment
After heavy rain last week, the Wabash River is causing minor to moderate flooding along its basin; the crest from Montezuma is expected to reach Terre Haute overnight Thursday, and flood warnings remain until Tuesday, Aug.
25 so motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads.
🏥 Health
The Vigo County Health Department reported that mosquito samples tested positive for West Nile virus after heavy rains that favor breeding.
Residents are urged to remove standing water to help reduce mosquito exposure.
