Terre Haute will welcome about 40 to 50 light hovercraft for the annual Hoverally Reunion from Aug.
6 to 9. Neoteric Hovercraft will host an open house on Aug. 6 (3:30 to 5 p.m.) and Aug. 7 (1 to 5 p.m.) at 1649 Tippecanoe St as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.

Martha Reed’s new book The Day Hope Walked Five Miles recounts her personal journey from Panama to academic success at Indiana State University and includes memories of her grandmother’s rice aroma and the loss of her husband in September 2024.
🎓 Education
Indiana State University raised over $17 million for fiscal year 2026 through its Division of University Advancement to support scholarships, academic programs, experiential learning & athletics while strengthening its endowment.

Local officials said Thursday that even if Churchill Downs Inc. divests up to nine regional casinos including the Terre Haute Casino Resort, casino roles and the casino foundation will remain stable to support a stronger community.

ForMotion Clinic is dedicated to helping amputees regain their independence (as shown by Kline Sprague II, who received care after a motorcycle accident near Stellantis in Kokomo in June 2013).
Indiana is expanding access to GLP-1s (diabetes and weight loss drugs) for Medicaid recipients as part of a federal pilot that will bring new treatment options to more enrollees statewide.
The program is expected to roll out soon.
