ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Indiana State Police said troopers are investigating a fatal accident in Vigo County where Rickie Killion, 70, failed to stop at a red light near East Springhill Drive—McDaniel Road at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, leaving one person dead. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Fire crews battled a house fire Monday morning in the 1800 block of N. 12th St in Terre Haute when smoke was seen coming from the one-story wooden home and officials said no one was hurt as the fire remains under investigation. WTWO
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ One of 10 finalists will win an RV in a drawing Friday night at Terre Haute Casino Resort—every 30 minutes from 7 to 11 p.m., three winners will compete in a sleeping bag roll up race for a chance at up to $600 in free slot play. Tribune-Star
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On July 10 at about 12:30 p.m., a shooting in the parking lot at Kroger South located at 4714 South U.S. 41 involved Dustin Tubbs, aged 33, and Amanda Dubois, aged 38, in a murder-suicide, according to sheriff Derek Fell. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Dustin Tubbs, 33, died after a shooting outside the Kroger on South U.S. Highway 41 in Terre Haute on July 10th — he shot passenger Amanda Dubois, who died at the scene, and then shot himself in a car crash that left a child unharmed. WTHI-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Jewish Motorcyclist Alliance stopped at the Candles Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute over the weekend and handed out a Circle of Chai— a symbol of Jewish perseverance and thanks to the museum. The group, sponsored by the Wandering Twos, will continue touring U.S. Holocaust museums and will finish at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington DC at the end of the month. WTWO
