COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ The 4-H Parade took place on Saturday at the Wabash Valley Fairgrounds during the last day of the Vigo County Fair. Several local clubs showcased themed floats, signs and costumes—adding color to the event. Tribune-Star
- ➤ At the 7th annual car show in the 12 points neighborhood, car lovers gathered to raise money to improve the area. Maryann Mullen and Saralyn Youngblood, who have helped the neighborhood for 7 years, said the event boosted local business—helping start the new 12 points market—and they plan to hold more fundraisers. - ➤ The Vigo County Fair ended Saturday, and selected 4-H members—including some 3rd graders—will compete at the state fair running August 1 through 17, continuing a season of rising participation and hard work. WTWO
- ➤ The Terre Haute Children’s Museum hosted a bubble party provided by Foam Homies today where kids chased bubbles, danced, and popped them while enjoying free entry with museum admission. Registration remains open for its science summer camp (running July 14 through August 4) that will offer more summer fun for children. WTWO
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The Vigo County Sheriff's Office released names from Thursday's shooting at Kroger on Terre Haute's south side—Amanda Dubois, 38, died and Dustin Tubbs, 33, was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with his condition unknown pending further investigation. WTHI-TV

- ➤ The Terre Haute Historical Society held Saturday programs featuring speaker George Sanquenetti, a vermilion county historian who explained how George Rogers Clark was linked to local history through his discussions about Fransis Vigo—museum curator Suzy Dunning said the talks help both adults and children learn about the past.
