Community Theatre of Terre Haute will host Bravo on the Block: CT's Big 100 Bash from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug.

Carl Ross Memorial Way was dedicated Friday morning at the corner of 7th and Cherry Streets.
The street now honors the late hero by renaming a section from Cherry to Larry Bird Avenue—family members gathered to mark the occasion.

🎭 Culture
Noel Hord, who became Terre Haute’s first Black shoe salesperson in the 1960s at Ben Becker, was featured in a Wall Street Journal retrospective where he called himself the Jackie Robinson of retailing.
He later became CEO and president of Nine West and died this summer at age 79.
Lloyd Wood will return to Boot City Opry at 7 p.m. July 25 for an evening of classic country music, comedy + character impressions with musicians Ed Davis, Rich Anderson and The Nashville Connection.
