- ➤ Today, Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank is taking part in #ChipInChipAway—a national day of giving that urges donors to help fight hunger amid rising need and falling funds. The foodbank aids residents in Clay, Greene, Knox, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties through a network of over 90 pantries and soup kitchens. WTWO
- ➤ Terre Haute Firefighter and Paramedic Bram Sanders was nominated for the Heroic Life Saving Award after he rescued a pilot entangled in a parachute during an aircraft incident on May 16 at the regional airport—he quickly assessed the dangerous scene and provided critical care to the pilot. WTWO

- ➤ Chick-fil-A reopened its southside restaurant today after closing on May 30 for a remodel — the work upgraded the building’s structure and drive-through flow. Kathy McCloy said the changes will help serve customers faster as many line up for waffle fries and crispy chicken sandwiches. WTWO
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Junior Achievement in Wabash Valley, in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College and funded by the United Way of the Wabash Valley, will offer free Family Financial Literacy Workshops to teach adults key money management skills and to introduce children to age-appropriate financial lessons. Adults who complete all five sessions will earn a training credit and certificate while participating families are honored at a wrap-up dinner — providing valuable steps toward a more secure financial future.
