  • The Wabash Valley Horsemen's Association will sponsor the Frontier Day Parade on July 4 in downtown Terre Haute as volunteers work to bring back the classic event and invite all interest groups to join. A heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM EDT Friday—central Indiana residents are urged to use caution outdoors due to high heat indices.  Tribune-Star
  • Yesterday, the WIN Energy REMC Community Trust awarded six grants totaling $18,199 to local organizations—Addiction Solutions Corporation received $850 to buy a computer for its men’s house computer lab.  Tribune-Star

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Indiana Supreme Court justices reviewed Attorney General Todd Rokita's lawsuits that claim TikTok deceived Hoosiers by not showing the true content and by failing to protect user data—since the company has no office here. The judges questioned whether Indiana law should apply to TikTok and said they will announce their ruling in due course.  WTHI-TV
  • On Wednesday morning, the Vigo County Commissioners and Chamber of Commerce held an update meeting at the Hulman Center and discussed past successes and plans for education, capital improvements, and workforce development. County officials detailed ongoing projects such as school facility changes and a new community corrections facility — emphasizing strong local partnerships.  WTHI-TV
  • The Indiana Attorney General warned residents about scam emails and texts that claim to be a final notice from the Motor Vehicle Administration — not the Bureau of Motor Vehicles — and try to steal personal and financial information.  Tribune-Star
