- ➤ Duke Energy held a Live Line demonstration on Wednesday morning in Terre Haute to show the hidden dangers of active power lines during storm season—residents were urged not to touch downed lines and to call 800-343-3525 for reports. - ➤ Residents in Northern Vigo County dealt with a severe storm that hit Wednesday afternoon causing fallen limbs, flooding and power outages for over 4,000 homes—local officials advised residents to steer clear of power lines and reported several county roads closed as Duke Energy works to restore service. - ➤ Ivy Tech Community College reported that a new study shows more than 82,000 working adults in Indiana need to get new skills through certificates and short training programs.
