- ➤ Two people died in a fatal accident Saturday evening near S. 13th Street and Oak Street in Terre Haute — police closed the road for several hours while they investigated the scene. WTWO

- ➤ Authorities released the identity of Brandon M. Houser, a 37-year-old from Sullivan, who died at Sullivan County Jail on Thursday while an autopsy was conducted. Tribune-Star
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Vigo County School Corp. will hold two listening sessions about its facilities study at the Terre Haute Convention Center — one session is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday and the other at 9 a.m. Saturday. Tribune-Star
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, hundreds of athletes and families gathered at Indiana State campus for the Special Olympics in Terre Haute featuring track and field, bingo, pickleball, and basketball—athletes like Fulton Mraz, who won gold last year, and Tanner Wills, competing in javelin and shotput, said they were excited for the weekend’s events.
