  • Researchers from Harvard & Stanford ranked Indiana’s reading recovery sixth out of 35 states in a report covering literacy gains from 2022 to 2025. The study shows that state reforms in the science of reading are helping Hoosier children improve their skills.  Tribune-Star

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Mike Braun announced a 30-day program to ease gas pump prices for Hoosier motorists through early June — a measure designed to help drivers manage rising fuel costs locally.  Tribune-Star
  • Terre Haute Transit suspended its bus service to West Terre Haute because construction on US 150 is causing delays and will resume once buses can safely navigate the route. Riders needing scheduled pick-ups can call (812) 235-0109 for assistance.  WTHI-TV
