EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Vigo County School Board voted on Monday to buy extra cyber liability coverage after recent cybersecurity breaches in education — a move designed to boost data protection for local schools. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Terre Haute North Vigo High School was recognized as an endorsed Early College High School by the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning at the University of Indianapolis—students can earn a high school diploma along with college credit or a technical credential. Tribune-Star
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Terre Haute received a $500K grant from the EPA to perform environmental assessments—supporting 10 Phase I and four Phase II studies along with cleanup and reuse plans at the River East planning area and the former Columbian Enameling site. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Retired Vigo County Sheriff's lieutenant Brent Hall was honored with a Blue Heart award for his bravery during the sniper attack on April 11th, 2000—he now works at First Financial Bank and his wife and co-workers attended the awards presentation. WTHI-TV
