- ➤ Volunteers will help plant 7,000 American flags at ISU Memorial Stadium during the annual Run for the Fallen event—honoring soldiers killed in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A World War II-era plane crashed at Terre Haute Regional Airport just before 2 p.m. Thursday when it attempted to land, causing the pilot to be airlifted to a hospital in stable condition while the co-pilot remained uninjured — airport officials secured the site until the FAA authorizes further action. - ➤ Sullivan Elementary students learned outside last Thursday at the Merom Conference Center to engage in hands-on crafts and teamwork activities—this field trip also marked a celebration before summer break begins on May 23. WTWO
