GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Indiana lawmakers signed bills that allow in-home child care centers serving 800 children to continue operating and offer tax credits for employers, addressing a shortage of licensed centers for over 850,000 young children. • Twenty-one agency leaders, health professionals, disability advocates and parents formed a working group to review ABA therapy spending for young autistic Hoosiers in Indiana at the direction of Gov. Mike Braun—this panel will evaluate cost-containment options including therapy hour caps and quality metrics and must submit three recommendations by November 30.  WTHI-TV
  • The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that the southbound lane on Indiana 63 between Sanford Road and Bolton Road in Fayette Township will be closed for landslide corrections on or after May 27. The work will last until early August but is subject to weather delays + may change based on conditions.  Tribune-Star

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Vigo County Health Department released food inspection reports for May 5—11 in Terre Haute, showing that establishments were checked for compliance with health standards.
