- ➤ The Salvation Army of Vigo County announced new funding for its Pathway of Hope program to help local families break generational poverty (two anonymous donors contributed $27,000 for enrolling more families this year). WTHI-TV

- ➤ Local author Mike Lunsford published Indiana’s Wetland Wonders, a book that details his walk along an old railroad bed through Parke County wetlands. It is available at select Wabash Valley stores and will soon be offered online via the HEC website. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Ivy Tech Terre Haute received a $25,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation today to launch a PLC Academy that will offer advanced training in industrial automation — using small cohorts and hands-on projects to prepare students for high-demand manufacturing jobs. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Indiana counties show wide differences in birth rates, with LaGrange at 18.9 births per 1,000 residents and Brown at 6.4 in 2024, as rates have fallen from 14.1 in 2007. Gov Braun has announced new measures such as childcare vouchers and paid parental leave to help families and spur growth. WTHI-TV
