- ➤ The Terre Haute Park and Recreation Department said Herz-Rose Park playground is closed for surfacing repairs and will reopen Friday with a ribbon cutting. Repairs are underway under warranty + at no cost to the community. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Nika Kudelska, a 17-year-old Ukrainian exchange student at Terre Haute South High, spent a day teaching Ben Franklin Elementary students about Ukrainian culture. The program helped fourth-graders learn the flag’s meaning (blue for the sky) as they crafted one from construction paper. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology received a Cummins ISB 6.7L engine from Cummins Inc. to boost its Internal Combustion Engines course — helping students learn diagnostics, teardown, and rebuild techniques. Tribune-Star
- ➤ A new NEA report shows Indiana ranks 38th in teacher pay, with average teacher salaries at $61,661 for the 2024 to 2025 school year and starting pay at $45,958. - ➤ Attorney General Todd Rokita released IN Fuel Watch Tuesday, an online tool that lets Hoosiers track fuel prices at over 4,600 stations. The portal shows prices falling from $4.137 to $3.986 per gallon after Gov. Mike Braun suspended the gas tax for 30 days and will help flag price gouging. WTHI-TV
