- ➤ The Wabash Valley Pepper Fest and Hot Sauce Expo returns to Terre Haute on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Meadows Shopping Center to raise funds for the Council on Domestic Abuse, with last year’s event raising $1,000 for local support. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Duke Energy is using self-healing power line technology so that a brief flicker may simply mean the system is rerouting power, not that an outage is near. The upgrade + already in use in Terre Haute should boost service to customers. Tribune-Star

- ➤ A Vigo County exchange student completed her Global Youth Service Day project at Ben Franklin Elementary by reading the Ukrainian folk tale 'The Mitten' and sharing her culture. Nika Kudelska (FLEX participant) said she is proud to celebrate her heritage and the American melting pot. WTHI-TV
- ➤ Indiana State University hosted the 2026 StartedUp Challenge on Monday where high school innovators pitched business ideas. Finals will occur on June 12 in Terre Haute as top teams compete for a $25,000 prize. WTHI-TV
- ➤ Students at North Vermillion High School are finalizing a small business idea in their dual-credit entrepreneurship class with Ivy Tech. They are working on a coffee and energy drink venture called Mugshots and practicing pitches to local executives to learn how to run a business. WTHI-TV
