At the Vigo County History Center today, the AIDS Memorial Quilt section returned to Terre Haute for the first time in 30 years, as Tish Bluhm read eight names — a moment of silence followed.
Indiana State University professor emeritus Arthur Feinsod will discuss the Joy of Poetry and launch his first book Outside the Lines at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Westminster Village at 1120 Davis Drive in Terre Haute.

Indiana State University announced the Spring 2026 Hines Memorial Medal winners for the top GPA among first-time college freshmen.
The award honors former president Linnaeus Hines and celebrates academic excellence on campus.
The Vigo County Public Library will host a life-size Oregon Trail event for families on May 2 at 10 a.m. at Dewey Point, 110 E Nat'l Ave in West Terre Haute, where participants can experience this classic computer game come to life.
State Sen. Greg Goode's bill (which updates Ivy Tech's programs for workforce development) was ceremonially signed by the governor on Wednesday to better align the college with Indiana's evolving economy.
