- ➤ The Wabash Valley Community Foundation announced a revised competitive grant process for Vigo County after a year-long review & matching initiative that boosted endowment funds. The foundation will continue the $2-for-$1 matching until June 30, 2028 or as long as funds last. Tribune-Star

- ➤ The Ernie Pyle WWII Museum opened for its 2026 season on March 19 and will host tours + special events through Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Visitors can enjoy an earlier spring opening with daily events planned this weekend. Tribune-Star

- ➤ The newest recruit class for the Terre Haute Fire Department has been training since January and participated in intense Rapid Intervention Team and Survival Training on Thursday morning, where the 12 recruits worked in pairs to overcome obstacles and learn proper equipment handling for real-life emergencies.
