- ➤ Thrive West Central’s housing division will host an informational session for housing developers at 10 a.m. March 26 at the Vigo County History Center Auditorium (929 Wabash Ave) to discuss opportunities for regional READI 2.0 and Lilly Blight funding, with a virtual option available. - ➤ U.S. military officials confirmed that six service members including an Air Force captain from Mooresville were killed when a refueling plane crashed in western Iraq last week. Tribune-Star

- ➤ The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra marks 100 years this year as the state’s oldest professional orchestra (four years older than the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra) and has launched a 'History and Legacy' blog that posts new highlights each Friday at noon. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Indiana Natural Resources Foundation is offering up to $500 in grants for K–12 teachers to help cover state park field trip costs for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers can apply from March 15 through April 30 (notification comes May 15). WTHI-TV
- ➤ Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology launched a new undergraduate major in artificial intelligence that will give students real-world experience and prepare them for emerging tech careers. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Vigo County School Corp. are discussing a pilot STEM academy for high school juniors and seniors, funded by a five-year Trails to Innovation grant (from Lilly Endowment). The program is expected to boost local science and math education. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Students from Indiana State University’s Building Construction Management program advanced to the Final Four in a national competition hosted by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America yesterday (March 16) when they competed for the national title at the MCAA26 Convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
