  • Ivy Tech’s main campus will operate virtually today starting at 11 a.m. due to a water issue, and campus offices will follow their normal virtual schedule as outlined in the college's release.  Tribune-Star
  • The Vigo County School Corp. pre-K enrollment for the 2026-27 school year opens at midnight Sunday - district officials urge families to register early to support staffing plans and ease the enrollment process.  Tribune-Star
  • Vigo County School Corp showcased robotics opportunities for elementary and high school teams on Friday, Mar. 13 during the Education Foundation Business & Bagels program (highlighting innovative tech skills).  Tribune-Star

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado briefly touched down Wednesday near Yale in northeastern Jasper County, damaging trees and a barn just after 6 a.m. Central Time—and it was rated EF-0 with winds up to 85 mph.  WTHI-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Senator Greg Goode pledged $7,500 on Friday to support warming center operations in Terre Haute amid dangerous cold weather. His personal donation aims to help vulnerable residents during extreme temperatures.  Tribune-Star
