- ➤ Vigo County will host a free cleanup day on Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to noon. Residents can drop off items like grills, furniture, mattresses and yard debris at three county locations including the Street Department Garage (1211 Deming St.), while hazardous waste, construction debris, refrigerators, chemicals and batteries will not be accepted. - ➤ MCL Restaurant and Bakery, a local staple since the 1970s, will close this Sunday at the Meadows Shopping Center. Diners say the change marks the end of decades of service in our community. WTHI-TV

- ➤ Arts Illiana is hosting TableScapes 2026 on Friday, Mar. 20 and Saturday, Mar. 21 at the Sycamore Banquet Center at Indiana State University + the two-day fundraiser, presented by The Hometown Savings Bank, supports the region’s arts and cultural activities in the Wabash Valley. Tribune-Star
