Saint Patrick School in Terre Haute is hosting Saint Patrick’s Day events on Saturday, March 14 — including the Irish Dash fun run and 5K race in the morning and a parade in the afternoon organized by seventh graders to fund an eighth-grade trip to Washington D.C.

Indiana Landmarks and Indiana Farm Bureau are seeking nominations for the 2026 John Arnold Award for Rural Preservation, which honors historic farms that continue agricultural use; the award has recognized more than 30 farms since 1992.

The Wabash Valley Community Foundation hosted a celebration this morning to honor local farmers who attended sessions on weather trends and farm succession planning — the foundation also discussed how farmers can support Clay, Sullivan and Vigo counties through gifts of grain and livestock.

The Parks Board approved a temporary plan at Rea Park on Thursday that will remove the tennis courts until the renovated clubhouse reopens in summer — officials had reviewed stopgap proposals before finalizing the decision.

Officials from Greg Gibson’s development company said Friday that details are nearly finalized for a major retail project off Indiana 46 on the east side of Terre Haute—Target is expected to serve as the anchor store.
