EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Construction at Rose-Hulman’s Innovation Grove reached a topping off milestone Feb. 19 (the highest beam was ceremoniously placed) in Terre Haute. The first phase of the $102 million project will finish in December. Tribune-Star
- ➤ Indiana State University President Mike Godard told faculty on Thursday that the Commission for Higher Education is reviewing programs falling under required graduation thresholds (action is expected at the commission’s April meeting) with ongoing discussions on three programs where full agreement has not been reached. - ➤ The Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department board is reviewing park and restroom hours due to increased vandalism. Their special meeting Thursday broke a week's hiatus (lack of quorum) from the previous session. Tribune-Star

- ➤ Gordon Neff, Terre Haute South Vigo’s first boys' basketball coach, died Tuesday in Houston at 95 (he led the Braves to three straight state finals during the pre-class era). He was a Garfield High graduate who grew up in Terre Haute. Tribune-Star
- ➤ The Terre Haute Parks and Recreation Department announced that Rea Park is now open while Hulman Links will open later, weather permitting. Golfers should call (812-232-0709) to confirm details. Tribune-Star
