- ➤ The House passed Senate Bill 243 on Monday, Feb. 23, linking overtime and tip workers to a $200 million break on spring returns – cash payers could soon face a statewide penny-rounding system amid coin shortages; the vote was 77-19. Tribune-Star
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Vigo County food inspections from Feb 16-21 found few violations overall, though some restaurants had minor issues like low cooking temperatures, unclean equipment, and missing labels - follow-up checks and mobile vendor approvals confirmed many venues met health standards. WTHI-TV
- ➤ United Way of the Wabash Valley awarded $134,160 in behavioral health grants at its recent annual meeting, completing the second phase of a $168,976 investment for 2025 (according to the news release). Tribune-Star
