COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Indiana Department of Transportation will close 25th Street and Sidenbender Road under I-70 in Terre Haute for four months to replace the I-70 bridge.  Tribune-Star
  • Special Olympics Indiana and Wabash Valley Correctional Facility are collaborating to construct bocce ball courts for the 2024 Summer Games and pre-game events, with inmates actively involved in the building process starting June 6 at Indiana State University.  WTHI-TV
  • The Vigo County Parks Department is initiating several enhancements, including a new overlook at Dewey Point and a trail connection, alongside starting construction on a $1 million storage building for Griffin Bike Park.  WTHI-TV

  • Indiana's recent budget proposal eliminates state funding for a Dolly Parton-inspired literacy program affecting over 125,000 children, despite the Brauns' commitment to help.  Tribune-Star

  • Recent food inspections in Vigo County report critical and non-critical violations at local restaurants, highlighting the need for improved food safety practices.  Tribune-Star
