- ➤ Linton dentist Steven Kellett broke the Fish of the Year record in 2025 with 17 winning catches, including a 25.5-inch channel catfish from Goose Pond and a 22.25-inch saugeye from the Whitewater River, while his 9-year-old son Landon caught five winners. WTHI-TV
- ➤ As cold weather returns, The Bridge Church in Terre Haute reopens its outreach center for dinner (6 to 8 p.m.) when nighttime temperatures drop below 30 degrees, while the Lotus Center also remains open through early next week to provide relief. WTHI-TV
- ➤ Mental Health America of West Central Indiana reached a milestone today when it finished the foundations for Hemminghouse Homes, a permanent supportive housing project that will offer eight one-bedroom units in four duplex buildings. - ➤ A new welcome sign is being installed near the courthouse at 3rd and Cherry streets. Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer said it will display 'Welcome to Vigo County' + three flagpoles and extra lighting have been added behind the sign. Tribune-Star
- ➤ City crews in Terre Haute will pre-treat main snow routes, overpasses, bridges, and school zones at noon today — a measure to help drivers face slick spots before snow arrives early Friday morning. WTHI-TV
- ➤ Indiana senators voted Tuesday on Senate Bill 21 to name the breaded pork tenderloin the official state sandwich, and the measure now heads to the Indiana House — fueling a lively debate on local food traditions. WTHI-TV
