  • The Vigo County Public Library is inviting local residents aged 18 and older to complete a confidential online survey today to help shape future programs and services. Library spokesperson Shaleena Barker said the survey launches the first phase of a multi-step plan to meet community needs.  WTHI-TV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Dorsett LLC has submitted a rezoning request for the property behind the former Dodge dealership at 109 E. 40th Drive to bring Raising Cane's to Terre Haute, according to Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer & plans await further approval.  Tribune-Star

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita urges residents to visit IndianaUnclaimed.gov or text CLAIM to 46220 for unclaimed money including forgotten wages, old bank accounts, and safe-deposit boxes—last year the Unclaimed Property team returned over $88 million.  WTHI-TV
  • North 1st Street, part of South 1st Street, and Prairieton Road have been renamed Riverside Road — a change made to reflect the area’s riverfront identity. Signs are being installed while residents keep their current numbers as mail is forwarded indefinitely.  WTHI-TV
  • Vigo County Dispatch is switching to Everbridge notifications—a new alert system for police, fire, severe weather, and health emergencies—and residents are encouraged to sign up now by call, text, or email.  WTHI-TV

  • Local reporter Mark Bennett reports that a longstanding hoops fest tournament now supports local schools and unites the community.
