  • The Homeless Council is asking for donations to support local homeless centers in Vigo County—Lotus Center is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Bridge Outreach Center accepts donations in the evenings on select weekdays, and Pathways Drop-In Day Center welcomes items on weekdays.  WTHI-TV
  • The Salvation Army in Vigo County reached its $140,000 goal for the Red Kettle Campaign – funds that will support rent assistance, food pantries and hygiene closets. Community donations surged in the final three weeks before the campaign ended.  WTHI-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center will host a film screening and ribbon-cutting for two blessing boxes later this month in Terre Haute — executive director Troy Fears said the event will honor local heritage.  Tribune-Star

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Nearly 92% of Indiana high school seniors graduated in 2025, setting a record high rate announced by the state Department of Education. Improvements were seen among Black, Hispanic and multiracial students, reflecting a steady post-pandemic gain in graduation performance.  WTHI-TV
