Police say a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday—at about 9:14 p.m. near the intersection of Wabash Avenue and 25th Street in Terre Haute.

Today, as school resumes, the Postal Service warned parents, caregivers and school officials to keep children away from mailboxes and postal vehicles — the warning comes as more kids walk to school and face increased risks. The agency said children should wait until mail is delivered before retrieving it from a mailbox.
